10 Quotes on Overcoming Failure

Failures are absolutely discouraging and devastating. In reality, no one wishes to fail. But let’s face it; failing is part of life. Whether you are rich or poor, intelligent or not; you must face some challenges at some point in your life that actually pull you down.

10 Quotes on Overcoming Failure

This leaves us with no other choice but to try and overcome such failures. Essentially, if you ask any successful person whether a failure is good; they will promptly respond, Yes! Because in a real sense, if you respond positively to your failures and eliminate negative perceptions about them, then you are certainly going to come up stronger than you were initially.

For this reason, I have compiled a list of the 10 most inspiring quotes on overcoming failure.

1. “Do not ever worry about failures, rather worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.” (Jack Canfield)

Basically, instead of focusing on your failures or how you could possibly fail if you tried something; why don’t you instead focus on the chances you would get by trying?

2. “Never allow failure to overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough.” (Og Mandino)

This means that if you are more determined to succeed, then you wouldn’t allow failure to bring you down or tear you up.

3. “If you learn from failure and defeat, then you haven’t really lost.” ( Zig Ziglar)

Generally, failure teaches us something new. If you adopt this positively and learn something from it, then you have certainly succeeded instead of failed.

4. “Sometimes we lose battles so that we can find new ways to win.” (Donald Trump)

Essentially, by failing you should learn a new way to overcome or avoid a similar failure in the future.

5. “Success is always achieved by those who don’t know that failure is inevitable.” (Coco Chanel)

Successful people acknowledge that failure is part of life and must occur at some point in your life. How you handle failures when it occurs is the most important.

6. “Most great and prosperous people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.” (Napoleon Hill)

In essence, success may be lying just ahead of your failures. So, if you give up early, you might miss it by just a step. Patience and persistence are important to overcome failure.

7. “In life failure happens all the time. It happens every day in practice. What makes you better and stronger is how you react to it.” (Mia Hamm)

You must be willing to accept failures. However, this should find you well prepared to handle such difficult situations.

8. “Failure is the only key to success; each mistake teaches us something new.” (Morihei Ueshiba)

Essentially, the road to success is never smooth. In fact, you may never succeed unless you accept failures in a positive way.

9. “We learn and get wisdom from failures much more than success. We normally discover what we will do, by finding out what we will not do.” (Samuel Smiles)

In a real sense, failure equips us with more wisdom especially if we learn how to overcome such a failure.

10. “Develop your success from your failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to your success.” (Dale Carnegie)

Never expect to succeed without passing through some rough times. In the real world, it may never happen. If you are willing to climb higher, then you must accept to start from below.

5 Things You Can Learn From Footballers

When I was a little kid one of my dreams was to become a footballer, but I did not make it because I got a bad injury ( and the lack of talent of course). Since then I have been a massive football or as some call it soccer fan.

Being a football fan made me follow many footballers over the years, what they do, what they did before becoming famous, and what they do outside of the field.

I have learnt a lot from them ( they do not know that I exist), the good the bad and the ugly, but today I am going to share with you 5 things that you can learn from footballers and use those things to change your life.

5 Things you can learn from footballers

So these are the five things that you can learn from footballers or sportsmen and sportswomen in general.

1) They take time to learn their craft

This is the big lesson for me, you know most footballers start their carrier at the age of between 5 and 8 years old, they will stay at the academy from that age to maybe 16 to 17 when they will sign their first professional contract or get released.

Some of them, like Lionel Messi, have to travel to Europe or different cities and countries and very young age, face cultural change.

5 Things You Can Learn From Footballers

They do this because they know that they have a chance of making it at the top.

I meet a lot of people online and offline, when I tell them that in order to start their own business they will have to master a certain skill, this might take them 6 to 18 months to learn and master it, you know what they tell me? it is a too long time.

This is what most people do not get, all those celebrities we adore and follow on social media, practised their craft for many years before most of us knew that they existed. Yes, they have natural talents but they had to develop them.

If you want to be successful in any area of your life, you need to learn your skill and practice it each and every day until your skill becomes second nature to you.

2) They embrace competition

Becoming a professional footballer is a lot of work and there is a lot of competition, for every average footballer you know there are 1000’s who did not make it from the academy to a professional league.

When they get to sign their first professional contract, they have to find to get into the first team, after getting to the first team, there is huge competition to get into a starting lineup, the competition is everywhere.

When a footballer get dropped from the first team, you will hear them saying that they will train more in order to convince their coaches to put them back into the first team.

This is a huge lesson to learn. I know a lot of people who when things get competitive they quit, start a youtube channel and no one finding their channel their first action is to quit.

You need to start embracing competition, if you are not on the first page of Google, you need to find a workaround to reach there ( legally).

Your business is not making a profit? good find out who makes a profit in your niche, figure out what they do and do similar things, your fortunes will change.

3) They are constantly learning

A few years ago, I went to a training ground of one of the football teams, what left me speechless is when I saw one of the famous footballers taking advice on a young coach on how to improve his shooting technique.

To be honest, I was not expecting that, the guy won a lot of trophies, played football for more than 15 years in Europe with big clubs and yet was there listening to this your coach.

Most people do not do that. I had a cooperate job where you could not tell senior staff anything, they won’t listen to your ideas even if they will improve the workplace.

Another day, I was chatting with this gentleman who makes money online by selling products on Twitter, from what he was telling me that he was making around $100 per week.

So I started to explain to him that he could make more money doing the same amount of work if he used email marketing in his business. But since my account was new( Twitter can tell people when you joined it), few days Twitter suspended his account and lost his source of income.

These situations happen a lot in society, it reaches a time people stop to learn, they assume that they know everything, but not footballers.

If you want to be successful you need to keep learning.

4) They have the ability to block hate

There is a notion that footballers are loved and adored all the time, this is not true, especially when they do not perform to the expected standard or if the team is not doing well.

When they have a round of bad results they receive a huge amount of abusive and hate comments online. Once I read a hate comment that was aimed at a footballer, and the person who wrote that comment was telling the footballer that they will find their house and rape his little girl.

I felt very disgusted and disturbed by that comment. imagine the receiver of the comment.

But most of the footballer they manage to block that type of hate, they ignore those types of comments and they move on doing with what they do the best, playing football.

I remember a few years ago I had a blog about solar energy, and I wrote a piece about the bad side of the solar energy industry that no one talks about.

I got a lot of abuse from people from the solar industry, people left some very bad comments on my Linkedin profile and in the blog comment. I decided to remove it.

The blog was making me decent money through Adsense, but I had to let it go because of bad comments, probably that is why I did not make it as a footballer( not the lack of talent at all).

This is another lesson that you need to learn from footballers if you want to become successful, people will criticize your looks, your accent, the way you write, in few words they no matter how good you can become, they will find one thing about you and will leave very bad comments about it.

Ignore them and keep doing what you do.

5) They came back from adversaries

football player injured

Footballers are humans (maybe Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are not) and bad things happen to them as they happen to the rest of us.

From getting released by their clubs after spending too many years in the academies, horrific injuries, missing a penalty in the final of a major tournament, a bad spell of playing real bad etc. Most of them came back from all of those situations.

In anything you do, you will have some adversaries, you will have moments in your life when you think everything is going against you and you’ve hit the rock bottom.

You need to have this mental toughness and belief that no matter what happens you can do it again, someone got into your house and took everything? you can start from scratch and get everything back. Did Twitter delete your account? create another one and start over, there is nothing you can not overcome.

I know this is easier said than done, but I have seen a lot of people who came stronger after facing adversaries, this is something you will never know that you have until surviving is the only option you got.

10 Highly Motivating Quotes

If anyone has ever told you they go through life without a single obstacle bringing them down, then he or she is lying. Life is all about the ups and the downs, some higher and some lower.

The fact is, these obstacles can deter our spirits, and sometimes all it takes is a little motivation to get back on track. Sources of motivation come from all over but here are ten highly motivating quotes.

10 Highly Motivating Quotes

10 Highly Motivating Quotes

1.) “Our life is frittered away by detail…simplify, simplify.” –Henry David Thoreau

The complexities of today’s society are overwhelming and increasingly so. It’s easy to get caught up in the commotion and lose sight of oneself. This quote will help you take a step back, analyze the unnecessary stress in your life and move on with a stripped-down, clear mind.

2.) “Failure is success if we learn from it.” –Malcolm Forbes

Once you have that clear mind, you can begin to see the benefits of failure. Failure should be a welcomed event as it provides an opportunity to grow.

Every successful person has failed and will continue to fail. As long as you embrace those failures, improve upon them, and learn then no problem will be too large.

3.) “Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.” –Bruce Lee

This is another quote tied to the complexities of society. Without global culture becoming more and more unified due to social media, it seems that individual personality is being lost.

People are seeing a specific way they think they should look or act and strive for that. Of course, that is not natural and some people become very troubled when they realize they cannot become this unrealistic figure.

Instead, you should always strive to be yourself. That is where your uniqueness and beauty lie. The more comfortable you are in your own skin, the more confident you will feel.

4.) “Be more dedicated to making solid achievements than in running after swift by synthetic happiness” –A.P.J Abdul Kalam

Synthetic happiness is available in all types of forms, but it merely provides temporary relief. Seek out those achievements that provide long-term satisfaction and you will succeed.

5.) “Motivation is simple. You eliminate those you are not motivated” — Lou Holtz

While it may be easier said than done, Lou Holtz makes a good point here. Surround yourself with like-minded, motivated individuals, and don’t let those stuck in a rut bring you down.

6.) “Business opportunities are like buses. There’s always another one coming” –Richard Branson

We all miss the bus from time to time, but keep your head up and get on the next one. Who knows? Perhaps that next bus will be better anyway.

7.) “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work” –Aristotle

You can’t force motivation upon certain situations. If you are truly doing something you had and don’t believe in, odds are that will have an effect on your mood. Put your energy into what interests you and the motivation will follow suit.

8.) “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm” –Ralph Waldo Emerson

The concept of the last quote was so important, that I wanted to share another point of view on the topic.

9.) ” The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.” –Bruce Feirstein

Skeptical about pursuing something because you’re afraid of what your peers think? Go for it, for if you succeed, you will be praised.

10.)”Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor.” –Truman Capote

We wouldn’t know the taste of a good meal if we had nothing to compare it to. In other words, embrace failure.
